Ekim 7'de SBS'in Kpop Star ekibi Eylül 24 ve 25 'deki seçmelerde L.A'da 'sürpriz' olduğunu söyledi.
3.000'nin üzerinde katılımcı bir sonraki kpop yıldızı olabilmek umuduyla seçmelere katıldı ve BoA'nın önünde performans sergileme fırsatı buldular.Söylenene göre BoA müzik endüstrisinin en tepesinde bulunan bir yıldız olarak on yıllık tecrübelerine de dayanarak çok arkadaşça tavsiyelerde bulunmuş.
Resmi bir kaynak ''Keskin ve açık yorumuyla, katılımcılara tam olarak ne üzerine yoğunlaşmaları konusunda tavsiye verme fırsatı oldu.Bu sıcak ve yardımsever tavrı hem yapımcılar hem de katılımcılar tarafından övgü aldı'' şeklinde belirtti.
Denemeler BoA'ya teşekkürlerini iletebilmeleri açısından iyi bir fırsat oldu ve ''BoA'nın önünde performans sergileyebilmek onur verici.Seçmelerde geçsek de geçemesek de bizler için çok yardımcı olan bir deneyim oldu'' şeklinde yorumlarda bulundular.
BoA aynı zamanda herbir erkek yarışmacı elinde gitarla geldiğinde gülümseyerek seyircileri eğlendirdi. ''Acaba gitar çalan erkekler beni çekiyor mu ki'' şeklinde bir yorumda bulunarak seçmelerdeki seyircilerin gülmesine sebep oldu.

On October 7th, the production crew of SBS‘s ‘K-POP Star‘ revealed that singer BoA had been present for both L.A. audition dates on September 24th and 25th.
Over 3,000 hopefuls showed up to audition for the chance to become the next K-Pop star, and received the rare opportunity to perform for BoA. BoA was said to have given out friendly, helpful advice from her experience as a top star in the music industry for the past decade.
An official stated, “With her sharp and precise commentary, she was able to tell auditionees exactly what area they needed to work on. She received praise for her warm and helpful advice from both the auditionees and producers.”
The tryouts made sure to express their thanks to the star, and commented, “Just having the chance to perform in front of BoA was an honor. Regardless of whether we passed the audition or not, it was a helpful experience.”
BoA also amused onlookers when she gave a happy smile every time a male contestant walked in with a guitar. She commented, “I wonder if I’m just attracted to men who sing while playing a guitar“, causing everyone at the scene to laugh.
The production staff stated, “BoA’s soft charisma captivated the scene. Although she is much younger than YG‘s Yang Hyun Suk and JYP‘s J.Y. Park, any concerns that people had about her age disappeared within seconds. With her vast knowledge and experience with music, BoA will open a new horizon of possibilities in the field of audition program judging. Please look forward to seeing a new side of BoA.”
